Citra Mina Koronadal For those of you who want to bring home some fresh frozen tuna, I very much recommend a place highly popular down south of the Philippines, Citra Mina . With products caught from the waters of Celebs Sea and South Western Pacific, Citra Mina promises you'll have the best catch served to your dining table.

Apareja Buko Halo-Halo

Image
With El Nino getting on our nerves last summer, it is good to know there's that ideal place to satisfy our thirst located at the heart of South Cotabato - introducing Apareja Buko Halo Halo , Koronadal's tasteful defense to beat the summer heat! Apareja Buko Halo Halo After hanging out at Lake Sebu , my uncle treated us for a heavenly merienda treat before going home. Apareja serves the freshest buko halo halo harvested from the owner's buko plantation. Honestly, I'm not a buko lover, but what was served right in front of me is just irresistable! Halo Halo in Buko serving Their buko halo halo is priced at P55. The place is frequented both by the locals and tourists who enjoy consuming this cool, fresh and hearty serving, truly a must-try for every food lovers out there. T'nalak Festival Parade 2010 Photos and Video

Image
I woke up early on July 18, 2010. My much awaited day since I will be seeing for the very first time the T'nalak Festival Parade . With much anticipation, I walked fast the T'nalak Agri Fair and hurriedly made my way to the main street of Koronadal. At 7 in the morning, the weather isn't that great, it was gloomy. Just as the music started, the rain is slowly making its move, anxiously waiting for the big drops.

Most extensive holiday getaway!!!

Image
Why most extensive? Because this 2 week long vacation to our province in Mindanao is special. We've waited 10 long years for something like this to happen again. You see, it IS EXPENSIVE to travel and ride a plane especially if you have a big family, like us (9 members you might ask)!   Anyway, my family's version of a "holiday getaway" i s somewhat fresh this time. Because a lot of new things happened. But I guess what makes this trip extra special is that we were able to get in touch with as many relatives as we can, celebrated the season with parties here and there, reunions, farm visits plus our unforgettable eco-tourism activities in Lake Sebu. We have a big clan (from both sides) so were able to really take advantage of this trip, touring Tacurong City, Koronadal, Lake Sebu, Polomolok and General Santos City.

South Cotabato: T'nalak Festival 2008

Image
I left Marbel (aka Koronadal) on the day the T'inalak Festival started. Although main activities hasn't started yet, I was still able to visit some exhibits inside and outside the ProTech building. Good thing I was scheduled for an afternoon flight in GenSan so I have the whole morning to check the Kubo Competition . T'nalak Festival – Koronadal City An annual celebration in South Cotabato which demonstrates the importance and significance of t'nalak cloth as the cultural image of South Cotabato. The festival, being a one T'nalak piece, designed by patterns would likewise represent various activities during the celebration characterized by its outlook on being people and product-centered, development oriented, and with tourism, history, culture and arts-driven events.
